Fiber-rich cakes and breads come from technological innovations

A great byproduct of discoveries in food technology is the innovation of healthier foods to consumers. Now, cakes and breads are able to be made healthier with fiber additions without losing their texture. Foods rich in fiber help with blood pressure, constipation and pathogens.

The new fiber-rich recipe was engineered by DuPont Nutrition & Health. The new recipe will also be able to last for up to 14 day.

Another food technology that focuses on fiber in extracting fiber from fruit that has gone bad. This way, food that otherwise would be thrown away can be utilized for its nutritional content.
